Mesh Direct's partnership with City of Sydney has been a longstanding one, and we genuinely value the opportunity to work alongside them as they help Sydney grow and evolve. Our most recent collaboration started in June of 2020, when they reached out to us for help with the Town Hall Restoration Project by using Eco Vinyl hoarding banner. We love working on culturally relevant sites, where story and art are just as important as structure and materials. In this project, we had an extra challenge as well: to embrace and improve sustainability in construction.

The Challenge

The main goal of this project was to find the most sustainable signage solutions possible for the entirety of the works. The hoardings need to be 100% recyclable, highly durable and long-lasting and, significantly, eye-catching and attractive with high print quality.

The Product

We started with Compound hoarding but eventually used our specialised EcoVinyl, a 100% recyclable billboard skin. EcoVinyl provides all the quality and durability of traditional PVC billboards but remains cost-effective and entirely environmentally friendly. It can be recycled into park benches, decking, bollards, fence posts and other high grade recycled polymer products. So it looks great and leaves the planet feeling great too!

The Result

Gorgeous graphics and a state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly substrate are a great combination. The hoarding is dramatic and eye-catching while performing its function to perfection. What more could we ask for?
