In February 2020, Penrith Panthers announced the development of a brand-spanking-new, state-of-the-art Conference and Community centre. The exciting project promises to advance the area's reputation as an event and tourism destination and create a stimulating hub for the engagement and entertainment of local residents and businesses.

Richard Crookes are completing works on the WSCCC, and they got in touch with Mesh Direct to collaborate on the timber hoarding with our PVC vinyl banner for the development site. It's always a privilege to engage with local communities and be part of the enrichment of business, community and entertainment industries, so we were thrilled to provide our expertise and services!

The Challenge

With over 400m of timber hoarding to cover, Mesh Direct's design and print teams had their work cut out for them! The hoarding was already painted black, so some out-of-the-box creative thinking resulted in an ingenious and economical marketing coup. Richard Crookes also had very practical requirements, to avoid confusing the public regarding directions to the still-open stadium. Luckily, aesthetics and practicality are staples of the Mesh Direct ethos!

The Product

We opted to use PVC vinyl for the hoardings, due to its durability and print quality. However, rather than cover the entire hoarding, which would have required printing lengths of black graphics, we broke the graphics down into sections. Prints included 3D renders to showcase the finished building, directions to the public and confirmation that the Panthers stadium is remaining open during the development.

The Result

Mesh Direct and Richard Crookes were overjoyed with the results. The vinyl hoardings combine smart and eye-catching marketing with clear, concise directions and information, making the whole development process as easy for the public as possible and building anticipation for what is sure to become the new heart of the Western Sydney community.
